stanza

stanza

Rooms for your pictures and your words, together.

You may not market yourself as a photographer, but you make beautiful pictures, and would like more for them than to see them pile up over the years or fade away on social media.

Maybe you’re a poet or a writer, but you also take pictures, and you feel connections between those images and the words you shape. Lay them out together, here, and see what may emerge.

stanza is more free-form than grid, less museum label and more juxtaposition—from a single line to a short poem to a whole photo essay; from a single image to a complete series of photographs.

stanza is being made now. The pages on this site are examples—pictures by Todd Stabley, words by Walt Whitman from Leaves of Grass.

Stanza is Italian for “room”, as well as a verse of a poem.
